"THREE TIMES!"

Three Kings came to Jesus' birth;

They came to bear witness;

To pay homage to His name,

Bowed before His royalty.

Three gifts they gave to Him,

Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh;

Presents worthy of David's line;

From "Son of Man" to "Son of God."

Three times Jesus went to pray;

Each time He left Peter, James and John;

Asleep they fell each hour that passed,

They could not watch but took their rest.

Three times Peter rebuked, stood silent;

He could not to the Master admit,

His love, his grief, his pain.

He turned away; "I know Him not!"

Three times Jesus stood accused!

Before the Sanhedrin, Herod and Pilate.

Each questioned from whence He came,

To which kingdom lay He claim?

He answered them not!

The scriptures had foretold...

A birth, a herald, a Messiah;

They had their answer before them.

There were three crosses upon the hill;

On Calvary they placed them;

To the right, to the left of Our Lord;

One asked for the kingdom; the other rebuked the Word.

After three days He was risen,

To bring fulfilment to a promise;

To share with His Disciples; A Comforter;

One of Three; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
